Joe Farrell

 Founder and President, Farrell Commercial

Joe began his career on Wall Street as an oil trader on the New York Mercantile Exchange. In 1995 Joe bought his first piece of land in Brookville, New York, where he developed and sold his first move-in ready home.

In 1996, Joe merged his Wall Street expertise, business acumen, and passion for construction by creating Farrell Building Co. in the Hamptons. With over 400 projects completed over the last 20 years, Joe built the largest home development company on the East End. From Joe's unique and innate ability to envision space to the unparalleled Farrell team he has assembled, Joe oversees every home built by his company.

As President of The Farrell Organization, Joe Farrell oversees all new developments for the organization's businesses including Farrell Commercial, Farrell Communities, Farrell Storage, and Farrell Building Company.

Paul White

From June 2003 - December 2007, Paul was an Analyst, Associate and Vice President at Forest City Ratner, the New York affiliate of Forest City Enterprises (NYSE:FCE). Paul was responsible for building and maintaining the pro forma’s for all development projects (including Atlantic Yards, the New York Times Headquarters, 8 Spruce Street, others), for building and maintaining its corporate roll-up model, for its hotel asset management and dispositions, for its New Markets Tax Credit program, and for underwriting new investment opportunities. 

From December 2007- June 2014, Paul was an Associate and Vice President at Related. Prior to the financial crisis, Paul was responsible for underwriting, structuring, closing and staffing its Hudson Yards investment. After the financial crisis, Paul was tasked with helping to build a new asset management business, which at the time of Paul’s departure in June of 2014 had seven investment vehicles representing approximately $3.0 billion of committed capital. Paul was intimately involved with fundraising and structuring of new investment vehicles. Paul was directly responsible for origination and execution of new investments, tax, investor relations, accounting and financial reporting.

Since leaving Related, Paul has closed on many new transactions including several debt and equity investments in real estate assets and operating businesses. Until recently, Paul served on the Board of Directors of Plymouth Industrial REIT, Inc., and was responsible for leading the Special Committee of the Board of Directors tasked with studying and recommending strategic alternatives to the Board.

Paul earned a B.A. in Economics with a minor in Russian from Oregon State University and an MSRE with a concentration in finance from New York University.

Michael Loria 

Associate, Farrell Ram Capital  

From September 2011 – September 2013, Michael was a Senior Auditor in Deloitte & Touche LLP’s Financial Services Practice. He was responsible for providing professional valuation, audit, and risk assessment services to Blackstone’s Hedge Fund Solutions group, Blackstone Alternative Asset Management (BAAM), which at the time consisted of 130 fund of hedge funds totaling $50 billion in assets under management.

From September 2013 – September 2016, Michael was a Fund Accountant at Monarch Alternative Capital LP. He was responsible for the pro forma modeling, valuation, and financial reporting for all commercial real estate acquisitions, for the valuation of all illiquid distressed debt and equity investments, for the reporting of fund performance, cash flows, and fees to investors of all fund types (hedge fund, private equity, and structured credit), and for the compilation of fund audited financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). As a part of the Farrell Organization, Michael is responsible for financial modeling, due diligence, acquisitions, financings, financial reporting, capital formation, asset management, and other functions as it relates to the firm’s real estate investments.

Michael earned a B.S. in Accounting, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Connecticut, and is a certified public accountant (CPA).
